Now that gas prices have reached $3.00 per gallon, and more...

What are you doing to get the most mileage you can from your car or truck?

If you don't have a plan, then we have a few suggestions for YOU!

1. Slow down! That is the easiest way that YOU can use less gas to reach your destination. Speeding consumes excessive fuel, as do "jack rabbit" departures from stops at traffic signs and lights. Slowing down can also get you to work more safely with reduced stress and you reduce the chance of being presented with a speeding citation.

2. Use Synthetic Lubricants in YOUR car or truck. There are several GOOD and Validated reasons to use synthetics... but the one that tops the list today is that you will (if you do the math) get better fuel mileage. My customers write or email me and tell me how much better their mileage actually is after switching... so why haven't you done it yet?

3. Clean the fuel system in your car regularly. With the "government mandates" for certain additives in the fuel to clean your fuel injectors, etc... the manufacturers only put in enough of these additives to get by. Very few ever put in enough to do a great or thorough job so "It's up to US" to keep those injectors clean. Why? If the injectors are not clean, the fine spray that should come out of the tips of the injectors is reduced to a stream or trickle and your engine's performance declines and more fuel is required to do provide the same level of power to get you down the road.

4. Clean your fuel system the EASY WAY! Use Amsoil's Performance Improver (P.I.)



Amsoil recommends the following procedure: Treat one full tank of gas every 4,000 miles or 100 hours of service. One bottle treats 20 gallons of gas. Do not treat and run more than 40 gallons of gas per treatment. P.i. helps pass emissions tests. Treat gas, run that tank and fill up again prior to test. Safe for use with catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, oxygenated gas and 10% ethanol blended gas. Not recommended for two cycle engines.
