With Winter coming on there are several potential and "obvious when you think about them" tips that we should be talking about here, now that Winter is on the way!

The first is all that "idling" that many people do. Idling your engine without going anywhere is SO wasteful. Sure, it makes your car warm... and, you're polluting the air that we and our children breathe... and, you're WASTING precious "not replaceable in this lifetime" fuel. Just remember, petroleum based fuels are not renewable energy sources. Many of us were raised to believe that we'd never run out of fuel... but that is a fallacy that is costing all of us much more than we EVER planned on spending for fuel,,, both for transportation and heating!

So, what do you do, instead of running your car for a while to get it warm? Right now, today, before it gets any colder, install (or have it done) a "block heater" that will keep your engine warm all night long and you'll have heat right away when you hop in and take off for wherever you have to go. They're relatively inexpensive and cost pennies to operate. Plus, they are Pollution Free and you'll enjoy that easy start that you'll get from an engine that is already warm... and this also decreases wear from cold winter starts.
